Shaking: Releasing stress and blocked emotions from your hip area, you free yourself from heavy emotions and the frozen states that hold you back. Through precise movements, we will isolate the shaking at the pelvis level, and begin to make space for more freedom and vitality.

 

Cultivating a deeper awareness: As you feel the energy building and emotions stirring, you’ll learn to stay present, centered in your own space, no longer stop asking for external feedback. This is especially crucial when working with your creative (sexual) energy. Rather than letting it spill out unconsciously, you will learn to contain it, harness it, and feel the strength that comes from holding it within. You’ll experience what this containment looks and feels like—grounded in safety, trust, and a sense of playful power.

 

Symbolic gestures: Why do you move the way you do, and how does your movement shape your reality? Twerk is not just a dance—it's a symbolic movement that roots you back into your body, shifting your center of gravity and transforming how you circulate energy. You will be using movements that haven been encoded in your DNA for generations, to activate power, clarity, voice, to stand your ground, to connect to your inner world and many more. These will give you a powerful knowing behind yours and other people’s movements, gestures and poses.

 

Play: These movements are created to calm our critical mind and bring out the curious inner child and the instinctual animal body. Both of these energies are fierce, fearless, and free from shame. In play, you’ll rediscover the boundless power of being unapologetically yourself.

Focus: Embracing primal, fluid movements inspired by animal flow to enhance coordination, strength, and flow.

Practices: Crawls, waves, and undulations that connect the hips, spine, and limbs, incorporating rhythmic pelvic motions.

Goal: Build strength and confidence while emphasizing the interplay of groundedness and freedom.

4. Emotional Release Through Movement

Focus: Using twerk as a vehicle to release stored tension and energy in the pelvis and upper back.

Practices: Progressive movement sequences, combining twerk with breathwork and intentional pauses to notice and integrate emotional shifts.

Focus: Cultivating joy, confidence, and creative self-expression through freestyle movement.
